about

We are currently watching our lover die. We are currently hearing the slowing of a heartbeat, the shallow breathing, the muffled pain - too subtle to now notice. There is a quiet solemnity to the act of dying and we cannot look upon our loved one without hearing our own heart match our love's.

We just watched our lover pass. The terror and tremor and trauma of a lifetime spent validating our lives has been snuffed out in an instant. The long journey of suffering and disease has taken its toll on our body and soul, and has culminated in a moment of profound release. We must now watch our lover be buried, mourned after, and let go of.

An album inspired by a conversation about flowers - that the temporary grasps of what is beautiful and pure is what gives these things value. We must embrace that our lives are made up of tiny, limited moments, each one a creation of what we put into it. There is no value to love outside of that. An affirmation of the tiniest gestures we may do for one another that show, truly, undoubtedly, and surely, that we love another - friend, lover, otherwise.

An album collecting the minute moments of a life together, in the throes of death. A testament to the power of living after another person and having the ability to look back and experience happiness once again after the immeasurable suffering.

A toast to those who have found their love, and that the rest of us may.
